Education research workshops are a valuable form of outreach, familiarizing students with European environmental and legal values, as well as EU experience in monitoring environmental quality and ensuring citizen safety.
The researchers from EU Erasmus+ international technical assistance project “Monitoring of environmental objects in the context of European integration”, namely Assoc. Prof. Olha Khatsevych, Assoc. Prof. Sofia Fedorchenko, Prof. Serhii Kurta and Assoc. Prof. Ihor Mykytyn, organized a trip to the Carpathians. During this trip, they outlined plans for future activities within the project, delivered lectures to students on the main sources of pollution and pollutants of environmental objects in Europe, discussed the impact of air pollution on public health and ecosystems, addressed environmental safety and law in the European Union, and demonstrated the use of relevant equipment.
