Today, December 4, 2024, in the STEM laboratory of Vocational School No. 7 in Kalush, an engaging meeting took place as part of the project “Monitoring Environmental Objects in the Context of European Integration” 101127251 — MEOEU — ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH, under the Jean Monnet direction of the Erasmus+ program funded by the European Union.

The event brought together students and experts in the field of ecology: teachers of the Department of Chemistry at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

The discussion centred on a highly relevant topic — environmental pollution.
In an engaging format, the experts covered:
🔹 the main sources of pollution;
🔹 major industrial enterprises in the Ivano-Frankivsk region;
🔹 chemical substances polluting the environment;
🔹 key indicators and results of environmental measurements conducted in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Professor Kurta demonstrated devices for measuring concentrations of carbon dioxide, phenol-formaldehyde, radiation, sulfur dioxide, humidity, and more.

This meeting served as an excellent example of fostering ecological awareness and responsibility among young people for the preservation of the environment.
