Open lecture

On March 12, 2025, faculty members of the Department of Chemistry, within the framework of the Jean Monnet project “Monitoring Environmental Objects in the Context of European Integration” (MEOUE), funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ International Technical Assistance Program, visited the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education.

Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences Serhii Kurta, and Associate Professor, PhD Olha Khatsevych, delivered an open lecture for chemistry teachers on “European and Ukrainian Experience in Calculating Air Quality Indicators.” Professor Serhii Kurta provided data on the environmental situation regarding air pollution in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Portable air analysis devices used for research were demonstrated.

Maps of the Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions were presented, featuring precise monitoring data on the concentrations of these gases in the air. The lecturers also emphasized the importance of knowledge about the environmental situation, especially in today’s reality, and suggested websites and applications that can help access such information.
