Workshop on Environmental Analysis for Students from the Ivan Pulyuy Scientific Lyceum

On April 7, students from the Ivan Pulyuy Scientific Lyceum of Natural Sciences and Mathematics took part in an environmental analysis workshop hosted by the Chemistry Department. The event was held as part of the EU Erasmus+ grant project “Monitoring of Environmental Objects in the Context of European Integration” (No. 101127251-МЕОЕU-ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH), implemented by the department’s faculty.

The workshop aimed to enhance students’ environmental awareness and deepen their understanding of current pollution issues. Under the guidance of instructors, participants explored the operation of modern analytical instruments and monitoring techniques.

In the laboratory, students conducted tests to determine heavy metal content and quantified sulfate ions in tap water and soil samples.

The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice, while also reinforcing the importance of environmental protection and sustainable thinking.
