On December 24, the opening of the exhibition of the Center of Fine, Decorative and Applied Arts «Artists of the Carpathian region: XX – XXI centuries» at the Precarpathian University.
The festive event was attended by the rector of the University, professor Ihor Tsependa and representatives of the Rector’s Office; head of the Center of Fine, Decorative and Applied Arts, head of the Department of Fine and Decorative Art and Restoration, professor of PNU Bohdan Boichuk; heads of structural subdivisions and employees of the PNU; famous artists of the Precarpathian and representatives of the City’s public, journalists. Larysa Herasko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Ireland, Vladyslav Kanevskyi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, Oleksandr Haman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam were among the honored guests of the exhibition.
In the exhibition hall, the visitors had the opportunity to see the presented creative works of famous artists of Precarpathian, teachers and students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Arts of the Precarpathian University. In general, more than fifty exhibits of decorative and applied art and almost 40 student works are exhibited here.
The exhibition will be permanent. It is also planned to make it mobile so that as many people as possible could see the exhibits, get acquainted with the masterpiece works of the geniuses of the art of Precarpathian.
During the opening of the new art space, the organizers of the exhibition and its guests noted in their speeches that it will be one more cultural and artistic center not only of the Precarpathian University but also of Ivano-Frankivsk and the whole of Ukraine too.
