Even the global coronavirus pandemic and lock-down restrictions have not become an obstacle for chemistry students. From May 20 to 22, 2020, chemistry students took part in the XXI International Conference of students, graduate students and young scientists “Modern problems of chemistry”, which took place at Kyiv National University. T.G. Shevchenko. The conference demonstrated the vital role of chemistry as a fundamental science in solving global problems, and the progress caused by scientific discoveries.

The conference participants were:

Vintoniv Maria (1st year master’s student, supervisor – Assoc. Prof. Mykytyn I.M.)

Wozniak Kateryna (1st year master’s student, supervisor – Prof. Shiychuk O.V.)

Oksana Hryniuk (1st year master’s student, supervisor – Prof. Myronyuk I. M.)

Our students demonstrate an example of improving their knowledge, despite the fact being locked-down  and replenish the scientific treasury of the university with new achievements!

We wish them interesting scientific discoveries!

The Summer is comming

The educational process is finishing. For fourth-year students  this is the final stage at which they should defend their  BACHELOR’S THESIS in order to obtain a diploma.

Traditionally for the Department of Chemistry, students work on interesting experimental and applied topics, which include analytics, technology, expertise. And despite being locked-down and restricted in access to laboratories and research, their papers are ready. Today in the on-line ZOOM mode preliminary defend of part-time students’ papers have been carried out.

Head of the department prof. Mironyuk IF noted the interest and variety of topics, the relevance of the work, the availability of practical results, as well as the responsibility of students and their supervisors. So we would like to wish our chemistry students a good start and inspiration at the final stage of study and successful defense of their BACHELOR’S THESES!
