Teachers of the Department of Chemistry participate in the EU technical assistance project

On November 1, the implementation of the EU technical assistance project on the topic “Monitoring of environmental objects in the context of European integration” No. 101127251, which is implemented as part of the Erasmus+ program, by Jean Monnet Module, began. The executors of the project are teachers of the Department of Chemistry of Vasyl Stefanyk Prykarpattia National University: project coordinator Olga Khatsevich – associate professor of the Department of Chemistry, Ph.D.; Serhii Kurta – professor of the Department of Chemistry, Doctor of Technical Sciences; Sofiya Fedorchenko – associate professor of the Department of Chemistry, Ph.D.; Ihor Mykytyn – associate professor of the Department of Chemistry, Ph.D.

The goal of the project is to popularize the experience of the EU in the field of environmental control, European principles of environmental safety, and public initiative, which are necessary for Ukraine, which has chosen an inevitable course for European integration.

The project will contribute to the formation of the European level of environmental culture and law among young people. This will help draw public attention to environmental issues and their impact on quality of life. One of the practical results of the project will be active educational work with young people, new educational materials, and scientific publications. To attract active student youth to cooperate with the project at the Department of Chemistry, the team presented the topic, goal, and tasks of the project.
