From October 25 to 27, the project team held webinars for educators as part of the MEOEU autumn-winter school. The participants of the event got acquainted with the system of environmental monitoring in Ukraine and approximation of principles and methods to EU requirements. Webinar attendees had the opportunity to hear meaningful information about the state of the environment (air, water, soil), get acquainted with modern methods of monitoring environmental objects, and methods of analysis. Information about the state of air, water, and soil during hostilities and the impact of the war on these objects was relevant.
And the most important thing that I wanted to convey to the participants and the society: right now scientists, the public and the government should develop methods, programs, plans for solving complex environmental issues that exist and will arise. And for their effective solution, it is necessary to take into account world experience and European principles.
Participants learned about environmental monitoring in the EU and Ukraine, the impact of war.
During the event, the need for cooperation between scientists, the public and authorities was recognized.
